Privacy policy

workspots.city (“we”) is a community-powered guide for finding places to work from. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to reach us about it.

What we collect

  • Account information if you sign in with Google: your name, email address, and avatar URL. Stored only to attribute submissions and let you sign back in.
  • Submissions and reviews you voluntarily provide via our submission form. Approved entries are public; the email field on the form is private.
  • Saved venues are stored in your browser's localStorage — not on our servers. Clearing site data deletes them.
  • Anonymous analytics: page views, referrer, anonymized country. No cross-site tracking, no third-party advertising cookies.

What we don't collect

  • We don't sell user data.
  • We don't use third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics).
  • We don't collect device-fingerprint data.

Third-party services

  • Mapbox renders the map. Standard browser-level data is sent (IP, user agent) per their privacy policy.
  • Google Places API supplies venue photos. Requests are server-side; users' browsers don't contact Google for these.
  • Open-Meteo provides current weather conditions. No identifying data is sent.
  • Vercel + Neon host the site and database. Standard server logs apply.

Your rights

You can request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@workspots.city. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

When we update this policy materially, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and post a notice on the homepage.
